A We use the most before a noun to say something has the biggest number or amount. It is the superlative form of 'much' and 'many'.

Cape Air has the most cancelations at Logan airport.

The storm changes the weather in Boston every hour.

Passengers at Logan airport have the most delays today.

B Pattern: Subject + has/have + the most + noun. We use this to compare airlines or airports.

Cape Air canceled the most flights on Saturday.

Which airline has the most delays today?

Cape Air and Delta have the most cancelations at Logan airport.

C Big, small and important describe an airport. Their superlative forms are the biggest, the smallest and the most important. In this unit we mainly practise the most + noun, meaning the largest number or amount.

Boston Logan is a big airport.

Nantucket is a small airport, but it is important for Cape Air.

Of these two airlines, Cape Air has the most cancelations.

Различайте the most cancelations («больше всего отмен») и the most important airport («самый важный аэропорт»). Big → biggest; small → smallest.
